Thoughtful Psychiatry for Those Who Want More Than Medication
Our practice exists to redefine what psychiatric care can feel like—personal, unhurried, and deeply respectful. My vision is to provide a calm, private setting where patients feel supported, empowered, and equipped to move forward with clarity and confidence.
– Carmen Samson, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
I believe mental health care should never feel rushed or impersonal—and it should never be something people feel hesitant to talk about. Life affects each of us differently, and there is no shame in needing support or wanting to feel like yourself again.
My role is to help you find your balance and create a path forward that feels right for you. I take an individualized approach to care, offering an integrative approach. Every person I work with is treated with genuine respect, understanding, and attention to their unique story.
In addition to outpatient care, I have experience working in inpatient settings with individuals facing severe and complex mental health conditions. This includes supporting clients in crisis, managing acute symptoms, and providing care during some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives. That experience allows me to bring a calm, steady, and informed approach to treatment, meeting you wherever you are in your journey.
I hold a Master’s degree in Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Midwestern State University, which shapes my commitment to thoughtful, evidence-based care.
This is a private, welcoming space where you can slow down, speak openly, feel genuinely heard, and empowered to move toward a healthier, more grounded version of yourself. Together, we’ll create a thoughtful, personalized plan that may include therapy, medication, or both, always guided by what feels right for you.
Mental health is shaped by more than brain chemistry alone. An integrative, functional approach allows space to explore biological, emotional, and lifestyle factors together, with the goal of restoring balance and improving daily functioning. Challenges are not viewed as failures, but as insight—valuable information that can be used to build sustainable, positive outcomes.
